My mother-in-law bought a house for us at Boonview five months ago.
Since we were still in US, the house has been left vacant until we posted back to Singapore.
Last week, my husband went to take a look at our new home and realized the ceiling is leaking with water. You could even see fungi on it! It should be coming from the aircon. All three rooms as well as the corridor are totally affected.
We would like to sue the previous owner and the agent to seek compensation. However, our agent friend told us that it is impossible due to some special clause in the sale agreement.
There must be some way to seek compensation. We believe the owner and his agent know this problem but without telling us.
