    Hi thanks for the reply actually im asking on behalf my parents what i heard that my grandma want to sell her Ghim moh 3 room flat and apply for rental flat with my uncle so they ask me to check if HDB still take the flat or not thank you.

The sale process is very systematic. Most of the processes can be done online and the timeline for the sale is quite standard. Your grandmother being the owner, has to have her singpass so that she can log on to the HDB resale portal to kickstart the sale process.

I seriously doubt HDB will purchase the flat back from your grandmother.

Unless she really do have a special case, I think HDB will still advise her to sell the flat in the open market.

Sorry for the late reply because propertyguru doesnt prompt me when there's a reply to my post.

By the way do take note that after property sale, your granny is not eligible to apply for any rental flat directly from HDB. It's a HDB rule.

And nowadays HDB seldom purchase back HDB from owners.

Best method to clear your doubts is to email the HDB branch office in charge of your granny's HDB along with the address and her name to enquire.
