Me and my husband just got married 2 years ago and still working out on our savings. We are considering of getting a resale since our bto application are unsuccesful twice. I am wondering how much savings and cpf must we have in order to be able to buy a 4 room flat around Bukit Batok, somewhere near my parents house?

Hi Nurhayati,

Depending on which block in Bukit Batok that you will be purchasing, the prices will be in the region of around $450k for a 4-room flat.

If you are taking a HDB loan, you will need to pay 10% of the valuation price with your combined CPF ordinary savings (ard $60k including stamp fees etc). On top of it, you will need to fork out cash for the COV (may range between $10k to $50k) and also for the agent commission.

Thank you and have a great day.
