If you are a Singaporean purchasing first private residential property, you should be able to afford a property worth up to $1.17m provided you are eligible for max 80% bank loan.

Probably you can share more with me so I will be in a better position to advise you further.

1) Are you a Singaporean, SPR or foreigner?
2) Are you purchasing it for own stay or investment?
3) Have you speak to any banker in regards to your in principle approval (bank loan)?
4) Preferred location?
5) How many bedrooms do you require?
6) Unit requirements etc

There are a few consideration to determine your ideal property price range which include your age, income, nationality and outstanding debt.

Assuming you are a Singaporean below the age of 35 with no outstanding debt, you may stretch up to $1.15m for private property if you have a minimum salary of around $6,900 per month to qualify for 80% LTV (Loan To Value).
*Lower salary will reduce your borrowing amount and lower the final property price.

If are considering resale HDB, you may stretch up to around $700k based on the same monthly salary of $6,900 per month.

For more accurate assessment, kindly contact us or consult a banker for In Principle Approval before making any commitment.
