Is it illegal for an agent to give rebate for selling a property to a customer?
And if the customer does not receive the rebate as promised by the agent, what can the customer do? And can the deal be voided because of that?
Please advice. Thank you.

Evening Andy,

Whatever is being signed on the CEA form 1 or 5 stands. Unless you have evidence to proof the verbal agreement being made, it's very hard to fight the case.

Hi Andy,

It is not appropriate definitely in terms of our professional incentives we should be entitled or to some it is consider as privileged only.. But agents and buyer sometimes knows each other or rather are related and do it mutually and willingly. And it is the question of willing buyer and willing agent though..

The deal is actually fixed when bank loan approved and exercised option. Don't think the deal can be revoked unless the deal itself other than commissions have some issues.

Hope it helps and answer the questions.

Cheers
Andrew
