With regards to properties for own stay, Singapore is a relatively safe haven with regards for holding out on properties. That being said, it means that Singapore property will not depreciate in value in the long run, not to mention inflation and many macroeconomic factors.

My own opinion is that as long as you can find a suitable unit within your price range, and a unit that is not very deviated from the current market value, you can consider.
