Hi Ms Poon Yee Man,

You intend to use the sale proceeds of your current flat to pay for the balance 90% of your new flat, without having to get any loan.

You may use the Contra Facility which enables you to take possession of & renovate your new flat while selling your existing flat.

If you are using Contra Facility, you may start to sell your current flat about 3 months before taking possession of your new flat. This is because you need to submit your request for Contra Facility together with your application for resale of your current flat.

If contra arrangement is approved, you will be taking possession of your new flat on or before the First Resale Appointment Date.

At the time you take possesstion of the new flat, you will be granted a temporary loan & interest will be charged.

At the point of resale completion (about 2 months after taking possession of the new flat), the proceeds will be used to fully redeem the loan as what you have planned.

If you do not need the funds from sales to facilitate the purchase, you can opt to sell your unit after you have collected the keys. But if you need the funds, we need to set aside about 3 to 4 months for marketing and the paperwork to run in.
