We cannot be sure on what is the best move forward without a proper assessment of the place. I have recently sold an old house that was built in the 1970s and have not been renovated anytime between just about 2 months back. The entire marketing assignment took me a period of under 2 months. I have to say that some old apartments have the old charm that can be appealing to prospective buyers and the fact that they are still raw may allow the prospective purchasers room to recreate the space to their own liking, while renovating the place before sale may appeal to buyers who prefer minimal hassle.

It will be great to be able to engage on a deeper discussion to understand the assignment better and provide you with a professional opinion based on my experience in real estate for almost 10 years.

In my opinion and from experience, it is not necessary to renovate the place as renovation can be costly and the renovation may not appeal to every potential buyer. Instead, home staging may be employed instead to make the place more presentable and appealing.
