Congrats on your decision to getting your property soon!
Basically, you can only do up your Intent to Buy and apply for your HLE when you have officially turned 35. So I will advise you to do up your HLE, one day after your birthday. If this is your first property purchase, I would really encourage you to work together with a professional realtor for your house purchase. The reason is really because you have someone to stop you from making any impulse purchase, guiding on what properties you will need to avoid, taking care of your financial planning and also timeline planning for you. Not very beautiful house that we step into, we can buy. And very often, we see many buyers making purchases that they regret and we have to remember no matter how much we regret, we have to stay in the house for 5 years minimum. Your realtor will also help you in the negotiations which many people fear. It is a mind battle that is really not easy.
