I own a hdb 3 room flat with my sister. We are intending to sell it soon as my sister have her own famly plan. I will move in to my bf once this flat is sold. Pondering should we sell it in the open market or should i buy it over from my sister?
1) am i eligible to take over the flat from my sister? (i m 34 yrs old now). Or i should i buy it over jointly with my bf?
2) am i eligible to rent out the whole unit? (we have stayed for 5 yrs)
3) our hdb is already 30 yrs old. I m concern if there's still a value to sell in the market says 10 years from now.

We are looking currently for agent to help sell or rent out our flat pending on which decison i take.

Afternoon CZ,

1) As per this moment, you are not eligible to purchase HDB unit under single scheme as you are not 35 yet. If you were to purchase this unit, being SC, you are not eligible to purchase HDB unit with your bf till you have fulfilled the MOP of your current unit.
2) Upon purchase over of the unit, you are required to fulfill 5 years MOP prior to be eligible to rent out the entire unit.
3) For HDB unit, they have their own value up to age of around 45 years. This is taken from my experience as I have sold HDB units that is older than your unit but still going well.
