I live in a condo today for more than 5 years. Can i keep my condo and buy a HDB flat? Any guidance is appreciated.

Good morning,
You can purchase a resale HDB but you have to dispose off your interest in condo within 6 months from completion date. Only when you own a HDB, fulfill 5 years MOP and purchase a condo after it, you will then be eligible to hold on to both.

As reflected by YT, I am curious to find out why do you intend to purchase a HDB when you have a condo on hand. Are you looking to get a passive income through rental but restricted financially to go for another private residential? Perhaps you may wish to look into other options for such investments?

Being a condo owner, you are required to sell it away, within 6 months from key collection of your HDB. Under the current ruling, you are not allowed to have private property first, followed by HDB unit.
