I have a question, if I have rented a flat and the contract shows to pay my landlord under his name monthly and for some reasons I have been asked to pay into another person's account by the landlord without any formal letter or reasons provided, how do I deal with this situation and is this legal?

Hi Sabrina,

Since the Landlord has asked you to deposit into another person's account, you should ask the Landlord for a letter and with a witness.

In the event the property is jointly own by more than 1 persons, you should get all the signatures of the parties involved.

Transferring rent without any formal documentation is a risk i would advise you not to take.
