I have a HDB fully paid and is looking to sell it and buy a resale EC. However in order to avoid paying the ABSD, I need to sell of my HDB which I think will take 16 to 22 weeks to complete the paperwork. Does that mean I cannot buy my resale EC until the HDB sale is full completed?

Morning,

Depending on your financial status and requirements, you can either opt to purchase first, pay the ABSD and claim it back later or sell your HDB while hunting for your preferred property, obtain the OTP for your HDB unit before you place Option for your purchase unit and work on the S&P timing or Sell first, look for temporary place to stay and take your time to choose your ideal unit.
