I currently have a possible selection for a BTO unit in Kallang in the coming week. As our queue number is quite far behind from the allocated number of units, it is likely that we will only be able to choose low floors.
Additionally, there are a few units that face a long term care facility/hospital. I have seen the layout and one of the building is 12 storey’s high. I understand some buyers may be reticent about this due to fengshui reasons.
My fiancé and I plan to sell the house after MOP depending on our stay in the 5 years to maximise the profit, and I have done my own research, there are a few newer btos in the area that would reach MOP plus minus 1-2 years from ours that also cost cheaper.
As experienced agents, I wanted to check if low floor units are really hard to sell after MOP, even if it is in a good location? Eg less than 5 minutes walk to mrt in future, very accessible to expressway, can take the bus to anywhere because of its central location. I would also like to check if fengshui reasons are a very big aspect that affects the price that we may be able to sell at.
Additionally, is it possible to purchase a condo right after selling our BTO after MOP or is there a required waiting time?
