I commute daily to work in Singapore and stay in Johor at my own terrace house still under mortgage joined name with my spouse. Both of us are holding SPR for > 15 years and earning > SGD$100K annual salary with SGD$150K in CPF and SGD$150K in stocks and saving. with age catching up in my early 40s and children growing up in secondary school(study in Malaysia) with potential intention to further their studies in Singapore local Poly in 3 to 4 yeas time. I have intention to acquire a 4 room flat in Bukit Batok near my relatives in 1 to 2 years time. I hsve the following questions and open to all suggestion to help me to meet my and my spouse goals: A. Can I appeal and keep my Malaysia properties upon acquiring a HDB 4 Room unit? any alternative? My long term plan is to have an alternative plan after i reach retirement age at 55 B. Can I get one 4 room flat with existing rental income for x 2 bedroom as I only need x 1 room for now until my children grow bigger?
