I am the sole child of a single parent. My mother is the sole owner of our HDB. I am planning to buy an EC with my husband in our names. In the event of her passing, will I be forced to sell off her HDB? Or can I retain both properties?

Evening,

Should you opt to purchase EC with your spouse as your matrimonial unit and your mother WILL the HDB unit to you, you will be required to sell either unit once you have gain possession of the HDB unit.
