Hi Eva Chang,
If you had fulfilled your MOP, you can submit anytime legally. However, if you had not fulfilled your MOP, you need to prepare a document to prove you will be staying and state the reason, such as working, studying etc. A letter from your employer or school is useful. If you are married with family, please indicate in your letter that the co-owner and/or occupier are going oversea with you.
Secondly, you need to engage a lawyer to prepare a Power of Attorney during your stay oversea. This person can be an agent, friend or relative that you trust.
Lastly, find an agent that is trustworthy.
This agent should be able to help you look after the house during your absence.
I had recently helped a friend to rent out his entire flat while he traveled to the States for further study.
Hope I had answered all your queries.
Feel free to contact me if you required any assistance.
