I am looking to rent a HDB/Condo in Jan 2012. A few questions to ask gurus
1)Do I respond to ads posted in propertyguru or should I be looking for an agent first?
2) How does the commission go in rental market? I am confused as I hear many differing answers. Some told me only landlords pay commission, some told me tenant and landlord both pay commission to agent.
3) If my plan is to move in Jan 2012, how soon should I be looking for a place? 1 month in advance sufficient?
4) How does the tenancy work? Do I need to confirm how many years to rent or can I just rent for a year and decide later?
