Standard market practise is 2% for sales for private property as buyer's for private property do not pay their salesperson for the work done. Thus it would be common that your salesperson is required to cobroke and share his comm with the cobroke salesperson, which will allow the sales of your unit to move faster.

However, there's no hard and fast rules about it and commission payable is still open for discussion between the client and the salesperson that he engaged.
