I am a PR and planning to renounce my PR this year because I will migrate in another country. I purchased my flat on Sept 2012(OTP) and my flat is still under the MOP.My question is, can IRAs exempt me to pay the SSD if the HDB will buy my flat since I will not be allowed to sell it in the open market?Thank you for your inputs..

Evening Rose,

I have cases where my seller renounce their citizenship status while their HDB is still in MOP. HDB does allow them to sell the market in the open market (subjected to case by case basis) but only a few cases are exempted from paying SSD. Given my experience on cases similar to yours, chances are slim.

Do contact me further for detail discussion.
