Dear landlord,
Typical rental commissions applicable is 0.5 month rent for every 12 months rental period, therefore 1.5 years rental is 1 month rent, but I believe many agents have pro rated accordingly to 0.75 month rent as commission due to HDB regulating the maximum rental period for foreigners to be maximum 18 months. This regulation has changed again recently therefore I am unsure if you have specific reasons for renting out for 18 months only.
