Hi,

We would like to sell our 5-room HDB located in Sengkang. We purchased the unit in 2012, stayed in it for around 2.5 years, and received HDB permission to rent it out for 2.5 years (We moved overseas). We are on a HDB loan.

We would like to find out about the following:

1) How do we sell the HDB unit before our MOP is up?

2) If the proceeds are not enough to cover the CPF interest, do we need to top up with cash?

Afternoon,

As HDB have records that you have rented out the unit for 2.5 years, you will be short of that to fulfill your MOP. Therefore, HDB will be unlikely to grant concession on the sales unless you have strong ground to back the appeal.
