Hi there, I understand that I cannot buy a private property now as I have yet to fulfill the Minimum Occupation Period required by HDB.
1.)
Is there any way round this rule? (I have been living overseas and have never live in my flat, & have alr obtained approval for the flat to be sub-let)
I understand that I can buy a property in trust under my relative's name and I have the following queries:
2) How does the above mentioned senario work? What are the points to consider?
3.) When I fulfilled the Minimum Occupation Period and want to transfer the property back to me, what are the procedures like? Upon execution of such an order, do I become the 2nd owner or...?
4) As I might continue living overseas for a few more years, does that mean that the MoP for me will be 5yrs after our return to Singapore?
5) Are there any other costs doing this transfer? Like stamp fees or legal fees?
