Hi my parents and I are selling our flat. We have finally signed the Option to Purchase with our buyer last week and buyer has paid the OTP fee.
Our buyer is a young couple who previously purchased a BTO and are successful applicants for the grants where couples live near their parents. However, they changed their mind about the BTO and decided to buy a resale instead and that's when they decided to buy our house. They just found out that they may lose the grant that they have successfully applied for however, the grant should still apply as our house that they are buying is even nearer to the parents' house as compared to the BTO. The couple has been told to appeal to HDB to transfer the grant from the BTO to this resale flat.
I am concerned that HDB does not get back to the couple with the appeal before our OTP expires and we would lose the buyers of our flat.
-Is there any way to help their predicament and ours?
-How soon can their appeal be granted/denied?
