Hi, MY mum and i own a property in melbourne. is it true if i were to sell away the property, in order not to be tax both of us need to stay in melbourne for 6 month? or anyone of us will do?

If it is both, what are the cost involve to remove my ownership from the property and any agent from propertyguru can help me with the paperwork in sg or do i have to go to melbourne to settle it? thanks..
