Is it a good time to sell our 4 room flat in Jurong? We were thinking of selling our flat then buy another resale but we hope to have some money left after these transaction. Please advise if this is possible?

Hi,

It depends on the prices of the 4rm units that you are currently stay at and will be moving into, as well as the CPF OA monies on hand currently and how much loan you can take. Its possible to keep some cash proceeds, if the current 4rm pricing can fetch a higher price than the one you be buying.

Whether you will be able to have cash on hand after the sale and purchase will really boil down to the pricing as well as loan eligibility. There is good interest in western region units because of the High Speed Rail project, therefore as long as it is priced reasonably and unit does not have negative fengshui factors, the entire sale and purchase process should be a breeze, if timing is well planned.

We will need to sit down to work on the figures before determining it will be a good exercise to undertake. I have just listed a 4 room flat in Jurong West Street 61 and will potentially be able to swing suitable buyers along.
