Assuming that you are eligible for 75% loan based on the funds above and that the existing funds put aside for the investment does not include the miscellaneous fees involved, your range of purchase is in the range of just under $650,000, which does not really give you wide range of choices.

Based purely on the 160k cash and CPF OA for downpayment and stamp duties, assuming you are Singaporean citizen buying 1st property and can take 75% max loan, you can look at properties up to 580k price range.

Hi Karen,

If we just look at your current figures, then the max amount of purchase that we are looking at is $640,000. But we still need to factor in expenses such as your legal conveyancing fees and stamp duty. If we minus off those expenses from your current figures, then we are looking at $580,000 kind of range.

In the current market, $580K is not really ideal for a condo investment even if it is a one bedder. Maybe we can meet up for a chat and I can see what I can advice you. Hi Karen,

With the limited information that you have provided, you will be able to comfortably afford a 1 bedroom unit in the range of about 600k.

Since your objective is to buy it for investment, you may want to zoom in on projects which are easy to rent ie have a pool of ready tenants as well as strong potential for upside appreciation in the future.
