Hi. I'm intending to begin sourcing for a home to accommodate both my elderly parents and my family of 3. For this to happen, I intend to sell off my condo and my parents (one of whom is wheelchair bound) will do the same for their HDB flat. What kind of property would you suggest that I look for and how long do you estimate the entire process to take?

Hi Juhari,

Maybe you would like to consider landed terrace house, with a bedroom at 1st floor for your wheelchair bound parent?

We can do the selling and buying simultaneously. Depending on your cash position, you may like to buy first, so that you can continue staying in your condo till the renovation of your new house is completed.

What you can do: Begin selling HDB and sourcing for new house at the same time. HDB transaction takes a longer time to complete. Once you have sold the HDB and bought the new house, then can start to sell off your condo.

The whole process should take around 6 months.

Hi,

I suggest, selling off your property first so you will have some cash flow to purcahse the next property. You may have to move in with your parent HDB first.

Next start to look for new property that I suggest to be Ground Floor condo. This will depend on your budget or locations you prefer.

Then once you are settled in the new condo. You may want to sell your HDB.

If this sound okay. Plesae contact me at 96722265  .

Hopefully i can help you with this plan and meet up to do some financial calculation first.

Thanks! Read More
