Hi, if i engage an agent to sell my HDB flat, when do I need to pay him/ her the commission? Is it during first appt, during second appt or when I receive my sales proceed? What is the normal practice?

Afternoon HDB Seller,

I'm not sure who will work for free yet willing to undertake the possible legal implications when things goes wrong. Since you have decided to engage the service of qualified salesperson to market your unit, fee will definitely be payable. The good news is such fees can be negotiated. As for the commission payable, I let my clients pay after the completion is done.

    I am just checking when I need to pay the agent...since when did I mention a thing about getting anybody to work for free or asking if I need to pay any com?? Of coz I am aware I need to pay and it is only right to pay for my agent's service. Pls read my questions again and thank you for your inputs.
