Hi!

I will be turning 35 soon, and thinking of applying for a BTO flat under the single Singaporean scheme.

While it works well for me now (being single and all), what will happen if next time I settle down and want to dispose of the flat?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Hi,

There are some you might want to consider:

1) Buying 2-rm BTO is a good way to start since you are single, and has not reach the point of affording a private.

2) Do note that property is best to start as early as possible. By the time, your flat reached MOP, you are already 40. You left with last chance of getting 25 yrs loan tenure (before 65 yrs old).

3) BTO under Single Singapore Citizen scheme only allowed you to purchase 2-rm flat. Thus the sales proceed is minimum by the time you sell it. This sale proceed has little help for you to upgrade to a better property. Most likely has to settle with a low quantum property.

Final, it will be best you could seek a profession assistant in assess your current situation to see whether you are able to purchase a resale so as to assist you to get better gain in near future.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more queries, do not hesitate and feel free to contact me at 90110636 , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
