Hi, I recently rented a room through an agent I found online. She is also the landlord's agent so by market regulation, dual representation is not allowed. Does that mean she should only collect commission from the landlord and not me? I was asked to pay commission still and I just realised that in my tenancy agreement, there was indication of co-broking even though I was not informed about this arrangement and the co-broke agent did not service me at all. He just appear on the day the contract is signed and I thought he was the agent's assistant. Can I demand refund of the commission in this situation?
