Hi, I just got my EP and my aunt and uncle offered me to stay in their house for free. So to issue my pass, they submitted an application to register me as occupant. Its been 1 week now but there is still no confirmation email, and I heard from my friend that the process should be very quick like almost instant. Can I know how long does it usually takes and how do I check the application status?

Submitting as occupant versus submitting as tenant are 2 different matters. I don't think he is able to submit you as an occupant since you are not directly related. He may need submit you as a tenant even if there is no rental consideration and there will be an application fees to be paid. Read More
