I am from India and planning to incorporate company in singapore. While searching for home rent or buy i found it confusing for foreigners. May i request you to provide me guidance over my following questions:

1. As a foreigner i might get employment visa or business visa once i incorporate business in singapore, However i am not sure if i am eligible to buy home in singapore?

2. I understand that I am not eligible for PR anytime soon in future, so what are my options of selling(worst case scenario).

3. Am i eligible for home loan in Singapore?

1. Foreigner is eligible to buy private property. 2) Not too sure what you mean for your 2nd question. If you are talking about whether you can sell if you own a property in Singapore, it would be yes. 3) You may get a loan as a foreigner, however, it will be subject to the bank criteria for a loan.

Hi Mr Bharat Sharma,

Foreigners are eligible to buy private strata-titled residential properties in Singapore. Take note that foreigners will be subjected to Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD) for all purchases.

There is no restrictions for you to sell off your property should the need arises. However, do take note that you may incur Seller Stamp Duty (SSD) should you sell off the property within 3 years of the purchase.

As for loan matters, it would be advisable for you to check with a mortgage banker. Do let me know if you need any recommendation.
