Hi I am a foreign student living in Singapore. I had made 1 and half year rental contract which is due in Next January. However I got a job in my home country and I ought to start my work from November. Hence I asked my landlord that I want to leave 1 month earlier than the contract yet he denied it. My question is do I still need to pay the rent until the contract ends? Actually I feel resented since I won't be in Singapore any longer and still transfer money out of Singapore. Is there any remedy I can take?
