Good morning! You are only allowed to purchase a residential property using CPF funds, not commercial property. As you are a SPR, you won't be able to purchase a resale HDB flat alone thus you are only left with private property purchase. To purchase a private property, other than usage of CPF funds, you have to fork out at least 5% cash downpayment. So to advise you further, do you mind sharing with me how much cash and CPF OA funds do you have on hand? Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers! Hi, you would be able to invest in pte residential property as a SPR. However, you would need to standby cash for the down-payment as this is payable only by cash. Further, have you an idea what is the size, location, tenure of the property etc. which you intend to invest?
