Being the citizen of US, you are exempted from the Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty that was introduced not too long ago to curb the rising property prices in Singapore.

You have plenty of choices, however, without understanding 1st what you are looking for as well as how much do you intend to invest into this retirement home of yours, there is nothing much we can propose.
