Hi Guru,
I'm a SPR since 2003 and have been in Singapore since 1998. I currently own a HDB and the bank loan remaining is minimal. I Intend to sell this HDB and buy a condo. My questions are
1) Is there any restrictions in renting out the condo that I will be buying within a year should I move out of singapore for work for a couple of years ? My PR is valid till 2017.
2) Will I be entitled to 80% bank loan for this purchase ?
3) If I have to sell the porposed condo that I buy within a year, is it possible ? What is the additional sellers stamp duty that I need to buy ?

Many Thanks,
SR

Evening,

Upon selling your HDB unit, there are no restriction for you to rent out your private property upon collection of key. You are entitled to max of 80% loan once you are able to porduce the OTP for your HDB unit. To sell your private property within one year of purchase, you are liable for 16% seller stamp duty, on top of the 3% standard stamp duty. DO not forget about the bank loan lock-in period penalty, admin charges, legal fee refund, etc.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
