Hi,

Buying any property in Singapore is one of a mjaor milestone in life, thus more careful planning is needed than merely mortgage.

You are on the right to find out our budget, this is one of the major criteria to narrow your search.

1) Yes, you are able to receive a mortgage even though you're working overseas.
2) The 1st thing to do is to find a banker who can advise your loan amount depends on your monthly income if you are employed.
If you are self employed, the banker will be to understand your annual income. As there are different type of calculations involved for employed & self-employed.
This is to adhere to MAS requirement.
3) Cash: this is another component in your budget. Because maximum loan from bank is 75% for property purchase. You will have to prepare 25%.
There is a minimum of 5% cash, and 20% casn be in cash and/or CPF. You may check on this before understand how much you can spend on your purchase.
4) After settle mortgage, you can then proceed on to select the area, types etc.
