Good day Guru, I am a Singapore Citizen living in Australia ( PR ), I have no property in Singapore. If I were to buy a private property for investment, what is the stamp duty rate must I pay? Many thanks

Since this is your first property as a S'pore citizen you need only pay the standard 3%(minus $5400 for property values above $360,000)buyer's stamp duty.

Morning Flora,

Being SC with no existing property ownership in Singapore, you are only liable for the standard stamp duty. However, do note that you have to hold onto your unit for at least 4 years prior selling it to avoid incurring Seller Stamp Duty. As for loan aspect, you can get loan from ANZ, with your payslip.
