Hi there,

Foreigners are welcome to purchase private properties but there are still some restrictions.

1) Additonal Buyer stamp duty of 10% on top of the usual Buyer's stamp duty 3% (based on the purchase price)

2) If you intends to buy any landed property other than in Sentosa, you have to apply to Land Dealing Unit for approval first before purchase.

Hi,
Yes foreigner has always been allowed to buy private residential property in Singapore especially these days foreigners could buy any apartment or condominum unlike long time ago can only buy 6sty and above apt.

If foreigners want to buy landed properties, you can buy landed in Sentosa Island only but not in mainland Singapore.

Recently, there is some new implementation for foreigners stamp duty taxation, that is on top of the norm 3% , now foreigners have to pay additional 10% more to purchase a local property.

furthermore there are also 4years tax on property bought and sold within the 4years. this new taxation has been implemented not too long ago.
