You would have to check this out with CEA and HDB. Firstly, HDB allows seller to market their properties on their own but not many people know the way about it. Seller would want maximum profit would engage such salesperson to assist them. Secondly, under CEA ruling, salesperson requires advertising consent from seller, to indicate that the salesperson is advertising on their behalf. With this, the salesperson would somewhat represent the seller. However, under CEA ruling, salesperson are not allow to commit dual representation. Without collection of monies from the seller, it somewhat makes the salesperson stand in grey area. Lastly, there are still other units available in the market, if you are not comfortable of such arrangement, you can always move onto another unit.
