At the same area, similar unit size and height, a FH unit will cost 20-30% more than a 99-yr unit, while rental price is same.
FH or 99-yr does not matter to tenants.

depending on age of 99-yr, your Capital Gain for 99-yr unit is actually higher when you sell because the FH unit cost more when you purchased it.

For freehold you pay more when you buy. When you sell earn more.
