Under current ruling, HDB buyers are not allow to own private properties within and out of Singapore. As long as the buyer/s or essential occupier/s do not own such properties, you will be eligible for the purchase if you fit either of the schemes available.

As mentioned by Mike, so long as the buyer or occupier does not own any private properties, and fit the HDB schemes, you would be eligible to buy.

Alternatively, you are still allowed to buy, but have to transfer or sell the private property within 6months.
