Being married, you are eligible to purchase resale HDB unit under non-citizen spouse scheme. You will be the owner but your spouse will be the essential occupier. You can utilize bank loan to finance the mortgage. However, you are required to fulfill the MOP before you are eligible to rent out the unit.

If you are looking at private property, you are eligible to purchase one under your name. Since this will be your first property count in SG, you are not liable for ABSD. 20% downpayment is required if you managed to he 80% loan.
