I believe you have came across various advertisements on social media, indicating that real estate agents have successfully assisted HDB home owners to sell their existing HDB and upgrade to a private condominium, without touching their existing savings and zero cash upfront.

There is no rocket science involved in this process, and the key here is proper financial planning, as well as the upgraders must be in certain income bracket range in order to qualify for home loan. There is definitely an element of risk involved, since the upgrader will need to commit to a higher loan amount, where considerations like employment, family commitments will need to be prioritised.
