Launched together with Tampines GreenCrest and GreenGlade, Tampines GreenOpal is the most affordable mature-estate project in HDB’s August 2020 launch. Prices begin at $311,000 for 4-room flats, which is very reasonable considering it’s near two DTL MRT stations.
Conclusion: Should you buy the Tampines GreenOpal BTO?
Tampines looks set to become an even more bustling estate in years to come. In 2019 alone, there were two BTO launches in the estate. Come November 2020, BTO flats will yet again be launched in the same area of Tampines, which also means that aspiring Tampines homeowners can have another shot if they don’t make it this time round.
If you want the convenience of a mature estate – think completed MRT stations, feeder bus services, etc – then Tampines GreenOpal is probably the most bang for your buck (for this sales launch).
Comparing Tampines GreenOpal with GreenCrest and GreenGlade, which are the same price, this is the most accessible. For GreenCrest and GreenGlade, residents will need to wait a couple of years for the Tampines North MRT to be completed before it’s convenient to get around.
