What’s more, Choa Chu Kang MRT will be just 2 to 3 stops away. From here, residents will be able to reach the East-West Line (EWL) in 3 stops by taking a train to Jurong East MRT. For those who work in the CBD, they can then simply take the EWL down to the CBD. All in all, the journey from the Choa Chu Kang MRT to the CBD would take about 50 minutes.
For those who need to get on the Circle Line (CCL), they can simply take the train from Jurong East MRT down to Buona Vista MRT in 3 stops.
Come 2026, Choa Chu Kang MRT will connect to the JRL. With this new line, residents can take a train from Choa Chu Kang to Jurong West without having to change trains—as currently is the case when travelling via the North-South Line (NSL). The Jurong Region Line will also serve Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the future Tengah estate, Singapore’s first car-lite town, granting residents easy access to these areas should the need arise.
In addition, with the JRL, residents will be better connected to key areas like International Business Park, the upcoming Jurong Innovation District (JID) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). For residents who work or study at these locations, they will be able to enjoy good access via the JRL.
The JRL will open in phases from 2026, with the entire line expected to be fully operational in 2028.
Transport connectivity aside, over at the Choa Chu Kang MRT area lies Lot 1 Shoppers’ Mall, Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange, the town centre and Keat Hong Community Club. At Lot 1 Shoppers’ Mall, homeowners can shop and dine at a variety of stores as well as catch a movie.
Future residents may want to note that according to HDB’s location map, the BTO units will be just opposite from a proposed temple. As such, be wary of some noise, smoke and sound around the vicinity. That aside, it appears that there will also be proposed health and medical care facilities a few minutes walk away from the BTO flats.
2) Enjoy the best of both worlds: Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang
The Choa Chu Kang BTO flats are also in rather close proximity to Bukit Panjang, so residents who want to explore outside their estate but not venture too far away can easily make their way there via public transport.
Bukit Panjang MRT is just 2 LRT stops away. Here, residents can spend time at the nearby Junction 10 mall with its array of food and retail offerings, or have a leisurely walk along Pang Sua Park Connector that runs along a canal.

Keat Hong Verge at Choa Chu Kang is hands down the most affordable flats in the August 2020 launch. With only 571 units this time around, the chances of securing flat will be tough!
However, while there are amentieis nearby, they’re not exactly near. The nearest MRT station, Choa Chu Kang MRT is not exactly near either (though the good news is that Keat Hong Verge sits in-between two LRT stations).
