Clementi New Town is abounded with a wide variety of amenities catered to the average Singaporean. This is due to the many Housing Board development (HDB) apartments that have sprung up within the area over the years. Such amenities and facilities include the Clementi Stadium, Clementi Swimming Complex, Clementi Community Club and the Clementi Woods Park. Clementi is also a location known for a considerable number of reputable schools and institutions that includes NUS High School, The National University of Singapore, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic.

To the far West of the district, West Coast is comparatively less busy; with few amenities in the vicinity of the residential buildings that includes the West Coast shopping Mall and the Clementi West Market. What West Coast offers though – at least for the more adventurous and physically active among us – is West Coast Park that provides an adventure play area, a fitness corner, bicycle obstacle course and a dog-run area where dog owners can take a leisure stroll with their canine companions.
