As they say, my heart goes “Bedok, Bedok” – this Bedok May 2023 BTO project will surely have that effect.
Not only is it a rare one – the last Bedok BTO project was announced seven years ago in 2016 – but it’s also a big BTO 2023 launch, comprising 1,640 units across all flat types, from 2-room Flexi to 5-room, and even 3-Gen flats!
The May 2023 Bedok BTO site has a fantastic location, being close to Tanah Merah MRT station and various amenities that cater to families (yes, including choice schools, a community centre and parks!). Did we mention it’s close to Bedok 85 Fengshan Food Centre? Read on to find out more.

Just around the corner from the Bedok BTO May 2023 site is Tanah Merah MRT on the East-West Line (EWL), which is about a 10-minute walk away. Other MRT stations around the upcoming BTO 2023 site include Bedok MRT station, along the EWL, and Bedok Reservoir and Bedok North MRT stations, both on the Downtown Line.
There are also two schools in the immediate vicinity of the Bedok South Blossoms BTO 2023 site (a secondary school and a special education school), with a primary school and even a junior college just slightly further afield.
Just one stop away is the bustling Bedok town centre, with its shopping malls, integrated transport hub, community facilities, hawker centres, and more. It’s great to live close to the heart of the estate, but yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet over at the Tanah Merah area (where more condos are). By the way, hot supper spot Simpang Bedok is also a stone’s throw away, as well as the famed Bedok 85 Fengshan Food Centre and Market.
For those who enjoy staying active, a couple of park connectors are within easy reach of the Bedok South Blossoms BTO 2023 Bedok launch. It’s a great opportunity to take the bicycle or skate scooter out for a spin, and for the whole family to hit the park for a stroll or jog around the scenic Bedok Reservoir.

When was the last time a 3Gen was launched in Bedok? Hint: never. We’re betting that the availability of larger flat types will this Bedok May 2023 BTO project a popular one. So while there are 1,640 units up for grabs, we feel that there is no guarantee Bedok South Blossoms will be easy to ballot for.
Also, Bedok South Blossoms has good public transport links, nearby amenities, and a range of living units that are well-suited for everyone (from seniors to young couples and big families).
According to the HDB’s Q1 2023 resale statistics, the median resale price of 3-room flats was $380,000. For 4-room flats, it was $486,000; for 5-room flats, it was $660,000.
These resale prices are higher than the price of recent BTO flats – an indication that flats in the area can offer good investment potential, especially if they are sold soon after they have fulfilled their Minimum Occupation Period (MOP). Of course, this is subject to market conditions.
The resale flat information for 3Gen flats is unknown due to the lack of 3Gen flats sold in Bedok. But when the MOP for these flats is fulfilled, it will be interesting to see how many families might consider selling their freshly MOP-ed units.

Yes, yes, and yes! Especially if you love staying in the East. However, do note that competition will likely be stiff, especially for the larger units. So, it may be advisable to apply without the expectation that you will 100% secure a ballot, and you’ll be good to go!
