Hi,
If you are one of the owners, then, your husband cannot buy a HDB flat. Married couple cannot own private apartments at the point of HDB flat purchase. This applies to owner and main occupier who form a married couple.

Sorry it is not possible as your husband will need include you as an essential occupier in the purchase and therefore you will not be eligible as a private property owner or ex property property owner. However your husband can purchase a private property with no restrictions.

No, he cannot purchase HDB since your name is in the condo. You will need to have your name removed from the condo and wait out a period of 15 months before you are eligible to consider purchasing a resale HDB with your husband, assuming that both of you are under 55 years old. Read More

Hi,

Sorry it is not possible for your husband to buy hdb on the sole name as your name needs to be included as an essential occupier. This means you have to remove your name from the condo as well.

If you wish to keep the ownership of the condo, and wish to get a 2nd property, you may consider to purchase private property in his sole name instead.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Your husband can't buy a HDB flat with his name only as he is married to you. A married couple formed as one.

Option:
1) Remove your name from the condo and wait-out for 15 months in order to buy a Resale HDB flat. For BTO flat, you will have to serve a wait-out period of 30 months

2) Your husband is eligible to buy a private condo solely under his name, financially permitting. This option allows you to keep your name in the current condo and have a 2nd property.

Hi,

1) Regardless of who is paying for the private condo, you are the legal owner of the property.
2) When coming to buying an HDB flat; BTO and resale. A married couple's names must be in the application together.
3) Therefore both have to comply with the HDB policy, and both cannot own private residential property.
4) Now since you own a private condo,
(a) Resale HDB flat: you can only buy with your husband 15 months later, upon selling the current private condo.
(b) BTO: Submit the application 30 months later, upon selling the current private condo.
